Hardrock Mining Tools is a supplier of drilling equipment and a service provider to mines in Zimbabwe. Suitably qualified individuals are invited to apply for the position of Systems Administrator which has arisen in our organisation.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible, among other things, for managing ICT systems that contribute to maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; professional certification is an added advantage.

Minimum three years experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.

Must have experience and knowledge of Pastel Evolution.

Experience​with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

Ensures internal ICT processes and procedures are compliant to national and international regulations.

Monitors VoIP, E-mail, Internet, VPN, Active Directory and Windows Intune service providers to ensure availability of ICT services to and other users.

Monitors and maintains the Organisation’s software (e.g. Pastel, CRM) and hardware (e.g. server, CPU, Memory usage) daily.
